I bought these renewed. They were pretty clean, but I can tell they have been used. I compared these to a pair of Skullcandy Hesh headphones I bought new in 2013. Those are on-ear vs. over the ear. The JBL controls stink. The buttons are way too small. The sound from the JBLs' is deeper than the Skullcandy - perhaps due to some level of noise cancelling and over the ear. I paid $30 for the Skullcandy and over $75 for the JBLs. I do not think they are worth the cost.Update: the sound using the included cord is terrible. Like listening through a tin can. I am disappointed in these. I had high hopes because I have other JBL items that are on point.
